Banknotes, identity documents and the digital security behind them. Designed and printed in Zurich since 1519.
A banknote, layer by layer
In 1519, Christoph Froschauer opened a print shop in Zurich. Five centuries later, the same company designs and prints banknotes and identity documents for central banks and governments worldwide.

Banknotes
Every step, under one roof in Zurich.
Design and security go hand in hand, from the first sketch.
The design becomes a printable, secure document.
The coloured background, in perfect register on both sides.
Optically variable security inks.
Foil strips applied to every sheet.
The relief you can feel with your fingertips.
Every sheet checked before it leaves the building.
Dr. Michael Kasch“Together, we generate cutting-edge banknotes and security documents that are admired worldwide.”
